Salt Lake Overnighter

Every year my family goes to Salt Lake and stays overnight. We get up there around 5 and then go to dinner and then after that bundle up really warm and walk around temple square. It is such a fun tradition. We look forward to it every year. This year we had to get 3 rooms! I can't believe how big our family is getting!

I think Allie was the warmest out of all of us. She had on the cutest fleece suit, 3 blankets and a bundle me. Needless to say I had to take a blanket off of her. She loved to just look around and see all the people and the lights.

Thanks Mom and Dad for this fun tradition can't wait till next year!

SANTA CLAUSE

Allie had her first expierence with Santa at our ward christmas party. She did so good she didn't even cry...imagine that.

This is Allie and her cousin Jaxen just chilling together. These two are only 2 weeks apart. Can you tell who is older.... Allie is. Jaxen is just such a big boy just like his Dad Jake.

Sleigh Ride

On Monday night we went for a sleigh ride up at the Homestead in Midway. It was so fun. Thanks Mom and Dad!! Here's a picture of the whole crew.

Allie & Ashley

These two are going to be the best of friends

They are 4 months to the day apart. Ashley was born on May 29th and Allie on September 29th.


This is Taylors oops I poop face. There was this really foul smell and I asked Taylor if he had pooped and he just did this look it was so cute I had to take a picture. We made Becca change that diaper fast!

BLOW OUT....GROSS

I was in Walmart at the check out stand and Allie started to make those noises. You know the red face and pushing really hard. So, when I got through the line she was still trying to get it all out. I decided to drive home and let her finish. I live about 15 -20 minutes from walmart depending on traffic. When I got home did I get a surprise:

It was everywhere all over her back on her shoulder? Don't ask me how but I couldn't believe how much poop there was. Needless to say she had to take a bath to get all the poop off of her. I had to throw away the onesies because there was just too much poop and I wasn't going to try to scrub it off.

Daddy & Allie

Everyone says Dusty and Allie look so much like eachother. Last Sunday he was holding her and I thought they looked so cute together so I took these pictures. They really do look a lot a like

Allie loves to sit up in the corner of the couch. When I lay her flat she tries to lift her head to sit up.

Christmas Tree

The past 2 years Dustin and I have purchased a cutting down tree permit (I don't know what it's exactly called) so we can cut down our own tree for Christmas. Last year I got to hike with Dusty and pick out the tree. This year I stayed in the car with Al and told Dusty what I wanted on the radios. (Thats the way to do it!)

BYU vs. UTAH

Dustin and I got to go to the BYU Utah game and it was amazing! My Dad has the best seats! It's like you can touch the field. Here is a picture of the field from our seats.

I think Taylor is BYU's biggest fan. The people behind us loved him. He would yell," Go Cougars" so loud. I love this boy.

Katelyn and Matt Risenmay

My sister Katelyn married Matt Risenmay on November 16th. Matt fits in so well with our family we couldn't have asked for a better brother-in-law. Here are some pictures from that day:

Smiling

Everyone says that when you child starts to smile and make noises it is the best thing. It makes all of those hard days worth it. I would have to agree. Allie has been such a happier baby now that we got her on Prevacid. She just seems content. I can't complain anymore. Since we have gotten all the kinks worked out she has been sleeping from about 9:00pm to 7:00am. I know I am lucky. This moring I had to wake her up at 7:30 so we could make it to work on time. She loves to sleep. Just like her Dad.

Church

This was Allie's first Sunday back to church. She was 3 weeks old. We took her to the Scipio ward and she did good for about the first 15 minutes then she screamed so I had to take her out.

The Deer Hunt

We go to Scipio every year for the traditional deer hunt. All the boys go out hunting while us girls stay home and relax. We brought Allie for her first overnighter! She did okay. I think everyone got sick of hearing her cry! But we had so much fun. My sister Katelyn got Allie a camo onesie. She looked so cute... even though it was way to big. A Day At Work

Thanks to a kind boss who let me keep my job and bring my baby to work Allie and I get up every morning at 6:30 and try to make it out the door by 8:00 so I can be to work by 8:30. So far so good. For the most part Allie is good for me at work but she always seems to cry when the phone rings! I learned a new trick that she loves to be on the floor. Here are some pictures of here on the floor today. I love taking pictures of her becasue in every picture she looks so different! She will be 5 weeks on Saturday I can't believe how fast it's gone. oh and she slept 8 hours again last night and the night before!! I hope this is her schedule for here on out. I love the sleep.

She has the biggest eyes!

8 hours of sleep!

I don't know what it was but Allie slept from 11:00pm to 7:00am last night! My first thought was is she sick?? There has to be something wrong for a 4 week old to sleep that long. I called my Mom and she said calm down you should be happy. You see, Allie has been kind of a challenge baby she cries all the time. We have taken her to the witch doctor, chiropractor and the pediatrician. We have tried 6 different formulas, liver drops, kide-call and mylocon drops and nothing has helped. I went to the pediatrician on Wednesday bec

ause they wanted to see if she had acid reflux which they think she does so now we are trying prev acid. I took her to the chiropractor yesterday and she loved it. So maybe those two things are the reason she has been so happy. I don't know but what ever it was it was such a nice break to have a happy baby.

Happy Birthday Dusty

Dusty is 25 today!! I was so excited for Dusty's brithday I was going to do all of these things and then Allie was up all night so everything I wanted to do this morning went out the window. Sorry babe. Hopefully she won't cry the whole time we're at dinner tonight. It was Dusty's choice and he wanted to do Sushi! Looks like I will be eating nothing but oh well it will be fun to be together and with our friends Josh and Laurie.

I have heard it a million times that once you have a baby you don't get much sleep. Well that saying is very true. (Just ask Kristin) Allie likes to come alive at night. She makes so much noise at night that it keeps everyone up. And it doesn't help that from 10:00 to 12:00 is her favorite time to cry for no reason.

Despite all this we still love Allie. She is a bundle of joy and can't imagine life without her.

Smile

Allie at times smiles while she is asleep. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

Best 2 Years!

Yesterday, 10/7, Kristin and I were married for 2 years! What did we do last night you ask? Try taking care of our crying baby girl. Life has been so crazy with Allie around that we didn't even think about buying each other presents.
It has been a great time married to my best friend. We have so much in common that we get along so great. I love her so much and we are both happy to see our little family growing.

It's a GIRL!

Allie has finally came! She was 4 days late but it was worth it. Allie was born Sep 29th 6:10 18 inches 7 lbs 6.7 oz. We are very busy being parents. Krsitin is a awesome Mom who is very caring and loving. I'm trying to get the hang of being a dad. It took me 10 wet wipes to change Allie the first time, but by the 8th change I only used 2. I am getting better.

Hiking

Kristin and I enjoy hiking together. This is a picture of us hiking to Stewart Falls last year. Stewart Falls is just above Sundance. Last summer we hiked a lot more but Kristin's belly slowed us down this year. We went on hikes to the Y, which is steep but fun, and our favorite hike was at Maple Grove. Maple Grove is tucked away in the mountains just 15 minutes from Scipio. The hike we go on brings you on top of a 100 foot water fall. Very cool to look at. Before you start the hike you can stop and drink out of a fresh water spring. This spring puts out the best water it is always clean and very cold! I think it is the best water in the world.

I had talked up this water to Kristin for a week and when she drank it for the first time I was anticipating a reply confirming how good it was. After a few swallows she looked at me and said "it just taste like regular water." I was very let down. We still laugh about it.

We can't wait till Allie can come with us on all our hikes. It will be a blast to strap her to me and spend the day in the mountains.
